Memo: Un-functioning Lift At Block B Lift 6

Dear Sir / Madam

 

Re        : Un-functioning Lift At Block B Lift 6

 

We wish to inform the residents of Block B that the above lift has been shut down for the past three weeks till currently. The reason for the shut down was the Lift Vendor has discovered the gear box has worn out. As the gearbox was an imported part from oversea, replacement of the same has been made by the Lift Vendor. For safety concern, the Lift Vendor has to shut down the lift to avoid any untoward incident that might happen.

 

We were informed by the Lift Vendor that the course of fabrication / delivery and installation of the gear box will take about three (3) months to complete, thus, the expectation date to have the said lift back to normal operation, is probably in the middle or third week of April 2009.

 

We understand the inconvenience and patience that the residents have to face in the absence of the third lift, we sincerely apologise for the cause of the problem and regret for the delay. We hope that the residents will accept our apologies in good faith.
